The Buffalo Bills have six healthy scratches for this afternoon's matchup with the Miami Dolphins. It's a luxury that the team has now that they're healthier, with players like C.J. Spiller, Stevie Johnson and Stephon Gilmore playing through injuries.
EJ Manuel, of course, is the one injured inactive player. He'll be replaced by Thad Lewis in the starting lineup. Matt Flynn is also inactive, meaning that he'll need to wait at least another week before he unseats rookie Jeff Tuel as the understudy to Lewis.
Three healthy scratches are cornerbacks: Justin Rogers, Brandon Burton and Brandon Smith are all sitting today, leaving the Bills with four healthy cornerbacks (Gilmore, Leodis McKelvin, Nickell Robey and Ron Brooks) plus safety Aaron Williams, who is still playing down at cornerback.
Reserve guard Antoine McClain, signed just a couple of weeks ago, is also inactive. Mark Asper, just signed to the active roster from the practice squad this week, will serve as the team's top interior line reserve today. Ty Powell, another recent acquisition, is also inactive.
