Bills vs. Saints injury report: C.J. Spiller, Manny Lawson doubtful

If Jimmy Graham can't suit up for New Orleans, this week's Bills/Saints matchup may be played without the two best offensive skill players on the field, considering that Buffalo's C.J. Spiller is doubtful with an ankle injury.

Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone told reporters after practice Friday that both running back C.J. Spiller and outside linebacker Manny Lawson are doubtful for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Spiller and Lawson did not practice all week. Marrone called Spiller a game-time decision, but has hinted all week that his top tailback might sit for a game in order to get him healthy for the stretch run. Lawson, who has injured his hamstring in consecutive weeks, is also unlikely to play after suffering a setback on Thursday.

With Spiller likely unavailable, the Bills promoted practice squad runner Ronnie Wingo to the active roster on Friday, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. The team released reserve cornerback Brandon Burton to make room for Wingo, who may work into the run game rotation behind Fred Jackson (probable with a knee injury) and Tashard Choice.

EJ Manuel, of course, is out with his knee injury; Thad Lewis will start in his place, and Marrone announced that Jeff Tuel will once again serve as the backup quarterback ahead of Matt Flynn.
