Jairus Byrd will once again be inactive as the Buffalo Bills take on the Cleveland Browns. C.J. Spiller and his less-than-100% ankle will give it a go, however, as will Leodis McKelvin and his injured hamstring. Also returning from injury is guard Doug Legursky, who will back up the interior offensive line in his first regular season action as a Bill.
In addition to Byrd, Stephon Gilmore, Ron Brooks, Dustin Hopkins and Marquise Goodwin were all ruled out for the game ahead of time. With Legursky up, reserve offensive lineman Sam Young is a healthy scratch in addition to rookie tight end Chris Gragg.
Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com said on the pregame show that Aaron Williams is still expected to play cornerback despite McKelvin's return. The Bills later confirmed that Williams and Justin Rogers would start, leaving McKelvin and his injured hamstring for an unspecificed reserve role.
The Bills and Browns kick off just before 8:30 Eastern tonight.
