We'd already learned this morning that due to injuries to both EJ Manuel and Thad Lewis, Jeff Tuel will be making his first NFL start at quarterback for the Buffalo Bills this afternoon against the Kansas City Chiefs. Manuel and Lewis are both inactive on Sunday, meaning that Matt Flynn will dress for the first time as a Bill and serve as Tuel's backup.
Buffalo's other five inactive players are all healthy scratches. Rookie running back Ronnie Wingo won't play now that C.J. Spiller is healthy enough to suit up again. Reserve guard Antoine McClain and linebacker Ty Powell are each inactive for the fourth straight week since signing on with the Bills after their Week 5 loss to Cleveland. Two cornerbacks will also sit this one out: Justin Rogers and Brandon Smith.
Chiefs inactives: 9 Bray QB, 48 McDougald S, 64 Kush C, 69 Watkins OL, 75 Johnson G, 77 Catapano DE, 96 Howard DT...
