The expected came to pass for the Buffalo Bills on Friday, when head coach Doug Marrone declared quarterback EJ Manuel - probable with a knee injury - his starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Things aren't as rosy for two starters: Robert Woods, dealing with an ankle injury, is doubtful after missing all three practices this week; he'll travel with the team in the unlikely event that he's better in time to suit up, but he'll likely sit. Manny Lawson, who just returned to full health a week ago, was excused from the team on Friday to attend to a personal matter, and has therefore been listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Woods will be replaced by T.J. Graham in the starting lineup, and Marquise Goodwin - probable with his hamstring injury after practicing in full on Friday - will see an uptick in reps, as well. When Lawson sits, it means good things for the snap counts of Jerry Hughes and Nigel Bradham (but generally bad things for the defense).
Buffalo's full injury report is below; Pittsburgh's will be added ASAP.
