Falcons 34, Bills 31 (OT): post-game awards for Buffalo Rumblings Podcast

We need your help pinpointing key players and moments from the Buffalo Bills' 34-31 overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons for our next podcast.

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Spor

It's that time of the week again: Brendan Harrington, Matt Warren and I are planning out tonight's Buffalo Rumblings Podcast, in which we'll be breaking down yet another Buffalo Bills game, and we're looking for your feedback from yesterday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Offensive Player of the Game

C.J. Spiller rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown on just 15 carries, spearheading a 195-yard rushing effort for the Bills. Fred Jackson pitched in with 78 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, and EJ Manuel recorded two touchdowns and no turnovers while completing 18-of-32 passes for 210 yards. It's fair to predict that Buffalo's running backs will split this vote.

Defensive Player of the Game

It's not fun to single out any one player among a unit that gave up 462 yards of offense and 34 points; if you're game to give it a try, you might focus on one of the five Bills players that recorded at least one sack. Jerry Hughes had two, and Marcell Dareus, Corbin Bryant, Mario Williams and Manny Lawson each recorded one, as well.

Turning Point of the Game

Two plays will dominate this discussion - you know what they are - but perhaps a metaphorical turning point suggestion would be the Bills blowing a 14-0 lead and letting a 2-9 team go on a 24-3 run.

Goat of the Game

Two players will dominate this discussion: Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler. If you're more macro-minded, the defense should surely catch some flack here - particularly a run defense that was gashed by one of the league's worst rushing attacks to the tune of 151 yards and three touchdowns.
