Aaron Corp, Hutch Eckerson Signed By Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have added two street free agents to their (very) early 2013 camp roster, signing quarterback Aaron Corp and offensive lineman Hutch Eckerson.

With two free agent quarterbacks (Tarvaris Jackson and Tyler Thigpen) and a third potentially on the chopping block (Ryan Fitzpatrick), the Buffalo Bills faced the possibility of needing to acquire (at least) three quarterbacks this off-season. They added one on Thursday, agreeing to terms with former undrafted free agent Aaron Corp.

Corp was with the Bills on a tryout capacity this past May, but did not get a contract offer. The former starter at Richmond began his college career at USC, where he was behind Mark Sanchez on the depth chart for a year before transferring once Matt Barkley beat him out. As a senior at Richmond, Corp threw for 2,682 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He profiles as a camp arm this summer, with the potential to stick as a third quarterback depending on what happens with the rest of the depth chart.

The Bills also signed free agent offensive lineman Hutch Eckerson, a former South Carolina starter that came into the league as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers. The 6'6", 310-pound Eckerson played tackle in college.
