Open competition, new offense appealing to QB Jackson - BuffaloBills.com
Tarvaris Jackson joined the John Murphy Show last night and gave some great insight on why he re-signed with the Bills. It's also interesting to note that coaches can't talk to players about their systems right now per the new CBA, so Jackson had to watch YouTube clips of Syracuse's offense. (If you believe that, I have some land in Florida I want to sell you.)
Torell Troup compares his injury to Johnny Knox’s | ProFootballTalk
"If Troup wants to create sympathy for his own struggles, trying to hitch his wagon to Knox is more likely to create scorn."
This is a total hack job by Mike Florio. He starts by calling Troup one of the "biggest blunders" in recent drafts by the Bills because he was taken one spot before Rob Gronkowski. Let's set aside the fact that Gronk was ironically coming off back surgery, which caused him to fall in the first place. I'm not trying to defend Troup to the masses because he has certainly underperformed his draft status, but that final quote just reads like a writer trying to dis a player, or - probably more accurately - an entire franchise. Say he's a blunder all you want, but do it for the right reasons, none of which are articulated in this article.

"Coming from my situation last year and not playing at all," Jackson said on a conference call, "getting a chance to compete is very important, it’s about all you can ask for."
Tarvaris Jackson signing makes sense for Bills - Press Coverage | The Buffalo News
"So Jackson will stick around with the Bills, provide some experience and perhaps push Fitzpatrick and the rookie to get better. If Jackson doesn't work out, then the Bills can cut him. What's so bad about all that?"

Bills re-sign Colin Brown | ProFootballTalk
"Colin Brown, who would have been a restricted free agent, has signed a two-year, $1.445 million contract, per a source with knowledge of the deal." Florio breaks down all the numbers.
Bills’ moves on defense make sense - Olean Times Herald
"How bad was the Bills’ defense last season? Its top two tacklers were deemed expendable."
