Earlier this week, Buffalo Bills GM Buddy Nix confirmed to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun that the team would be bringing in USC quarterback Matt Barkley for a pre-draft visit, and that the team would be conducting private workouts with "five or six" signal callers.
Right now, in addition to Barkley, the Bills have been linked to four more quarterbacks via various reports, with workouts or visits (the language is sometimes vague and difficult to discern) scheduled with E.J. Manuel of Florida State, Matt Scott of Arizona, Geno Smith of West Virginia and Jeff Tuel of Washington State.
We're doing our best to keep track of all of Buffalo's visits and/or workouts in this StoryStream. Last year, the Bills did release the names of their 30 pre-draft visitors in the weeks leading up to the draft, but it's unclear if they'll do so again.
As a discussion-starter on another slow news day, our question for you is this: if you had to rank those five players, what would the order look like?
Nix also made an interesting comment about this year's group of quarterbacks to Kryk, lending even more credence to the idea that the Bills are set to take an early-round quarterback for the first time in Nix's run as GM.
"I’ve said from day one there’ll be two quarterbacks in this draft that will be long-time starters in this league. And that's a fact," Nix told Kryk. "The key is figuring out which two it is, and that’s what we’re in the process of doing."
