Buffalo Bills re-sign Tashard Choice, per himself

The Buffalo Bills have made their second signing of the free agency period. It's someone who is intimately familiar with the team.

The Buffalo Bills have signed their second free agent of the 2013 signing period. Unfortunately for most Bills fans, it's a depth signing and a player unlikely to contribute much this season. Running back Tashard Choice has inked a new contract to come back to Buffalo according to his Twitter page.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-cards="hidden"><p>I want to say thanks to the Bills organization and to all my fans I'm heading back to buffalo. <a href="http://t.co/hNxktWXqV9" title="http://twitter.com/tchoice23/status/317773199146369024/photo/1">twitter.com/tchoice23/stat…</a></p>&mdash; Tashard Choice (@tchoice23) <a href="https://twitter.com/tchoice23/status/317773199146369024">March 29, 2013</a></blockquote>

Choice included a shirtless photo of himself wearing a Buffalo Bills hat. An earlier tweet said he had "learned who he would play for this year". His agency quickly confirmed - via Twitter, of course - that Choice would be in Buffalo in 2013.

Choice played 17 games for the Bills since being acquired off waivers following an injury to Fred Jackson in 2011. He rushed for 263 yards and two touchdowns as Buffalo's third running back behind Jackson and C.J. Spiller. He also added 11 receptions for 55 yards. He played for Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech and it was presumed he was on the roster solely due to that connection but he rejoins the Bills without the former coach at the helm.
