2013 NFL Draft: Cordarrelle Patterson, Vance McDonald visit Buffalo Bills

Buffalo's pre-draft fascination with current and former Tennessee wide receivers continues - and their quarterback's in town, too.

Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

As the Buffalo Bills brought in seemingly every Tennessee (or ex-Tennessee) wide receiver aside from Cordarrelle Patterson over the last several days, one question was continually raised: "Why the heck aren't the Bills bringing in Cordarrelle Patterson for a visit?"

Well, rest easy, Bills fans: Cordarrelle Patterson is amount four confirmed visitors touring One Bills Drive today. That brings Buffalo's count of confirmed visitors up to 27, and reports may have already leaked the final three names: Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson, Harvard fullback Kyle Juszczyk, and ex-LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu. We'll wait for the final confirmation to come from the Bills before adding them to the list below.

Patterson is fairly widely considered the best-available receiver in the 2013 NFL Draft class, even though he only played one season of major college football after two seasons at the JUCO level. A dynamic player with the ball in his hands, Patterson recorded 1,086 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns on 71 touches as a runner and receiver in 2012, and added another two scores as a return man. He profiles as a potential No. 1 receiver at the pro level.

Also visiting today: Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray and Fresno State safety Phillip Thomas, both of whom we've already covered. The fourth and final visitor was Rice tight end Vance McDonald, who has generated some buzz this pre-draft season. The 6'4", 267-pound McDonald is a versatile receiver that can play in space but also has the size to develop into a quality in-line blocker; he finished his four-year career at Rice with 118 receptions, 1,499 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The names of the 27 confirmed visitors are below. Once we can add Wilson, Juszczyk and Mathieu to the list, Buffalo will be at its maximum of 30 pre-draft visitors - and then the heavy-hitting speculation can begin.
