Photos from Buffalo Bills mandatory minicamp, Day 1

If you like pictures of Doug Whaley, E.J. Manuel and Doug Marrone, today is your lucky day.

The Buffalo Bills opened their mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, highlighted by the big news that Kevin Kolb and E.J. Manuel would see increased practice workloads following the release of veteran counterpart Tarvaris Jackson. The team also saw two free agent additions on the field for the first time as Bills (Manny Lawson and Alan Branch), opened up the left guard battle to two players for now (Colin Brown and Doug Legursky), and pressed on as their best defender skipped the event as he seeks a long-term contract extension (Jairus Byrd).

GM emeritus Buddy Nix was on hand to catch yesterday's practice; here's a photo gallery with proof. The Bills have two more minicamp practices on Wednesday and Thursday, and they will serve as the final off-season field workouts before training camp begins on July 28.
