We've finally reached the end of our offseason bracket. Today, Buffalo Bills fans will decide their most-hated figure in the NFL. It's been a long process, so let's recap.
First, we solicited nominations for each of the teams in the AFC East plus a category for those outside of the AFC East. After a vote where user-submitted comments were used to make the case for individuals, we narrowed our search to four; Bryan Cox from the Miami Dolphins, Tom Brady from the New England Patriots, Fireman Ed and the rest of the fans from the New York Jets, and Jerry Jones from the rest of the NFL.
After we had our final four contestants, we pitted the highest vote-getter from the nomination rounds (Cox) against the lowest (Jones) in a spirited and closer vote than was expected. Cox came out on top with 59 percent of the vote and has amassed over 900 total votes through two rounds. The other semifinal saw Tom Brady beat Fireman Ed by a wide margin. Brady has over 700 votes through two rounds.
Today, we pit the nemesis of today with the rival of yesteryear for supremacy. Here are their stat lines against the Bills in addition to the arguments by your fellow Rumblers. Which is your most hated pro football figure?
Tom Brady
22 games, 55 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, 7,199 passing yards, 20-2 record
Bryan Cox
7.5 sacks in 18 games against the Bills, two simultaneous middle finger salutes to Buffalo fans
Comments are great, but only votes count.
