Bills training camp practice: Day 13 open thread

Shawn Powell has officially won the Buffalo Bills' punting competition, as the team announced the release of Brian Stahovich on Tuesday morning.

Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills are back on the practice field Tuesday morning for an 8AM session, and they've started their morning off by announcing the release of punter Brian Stahovich.

Signed as a tryout player back in May to compete with incumbent punter Shawn Powell, Stahovich had a solid camp, and was many times the more consistent performer between he and Powell. It was always evident, however, that Powell had the bigger leg - and Powell was also the more trustworthy holder, as evidenced by his 10 special teams snaps to Stahovich's three on Sunday in Indianapolis. The writing was on the wall, and the Bills made Powell their punter officially this morning.

As always, we'll have updates on what the rest of the team is doing in this morning's practice right here in this thread, and the comment section is all yours.
