Kolb, Manuel duel in Bills second preseason win -
"It wasn’t until Buffalo’s sixth possession that Kolb appeared to be in rhythm. He connected on seven of eight passes on the drive for 48 yards, including conversions on a 3rd-and-9 and a 3rd-and-4. The 15-play drive was capped by a 39-yard Dustin Hopkins field goal."

Defense turns up the heat -
"Since minicamp, from training camp practice, we’ve been practicing being stingy, everybody flying around to the ball creating havoc," Hughes said. "So with us practicing like that, it’s great to see us put it on the game film."

"Just their whole defense was pretty exotic," he said. "They had some exotic personnel and different schemes, it was a little different and sometimes it was a little hard for us to identify. ‘Tis Better to Win Than Lose | Rochester Democrat and Chronicle
"- Special teams have a long way to go. There were mistakes everywhere in coverage (a penalty wiped out a Minnesota kickoff return TD), there were penalties, and just general malaise. Some of these guys will make the team based on their special team contributions, and there wasn’t a whole lot to be happy about."

Ups and downs for Buffalo Bills - ESPN
Who is trending up and who is trending down? Mike Rodak has it mostly right. I'll argue that Nickell Robery wasn't bad enough as an UDFA to get a down in his first start.

"It's preseason. They have an option to do whatever they want to do," Frazier said. "We didn't spend a lot of time in Mankato preparing to play Buffalo. ... In this game, we took a different approach."
