Buffalo Bills' Kevin Elliott tears ACL, out for 2013 season

EJ Manuel wasn't the only Bills player to suffer a knee injury Friday nigh: Kevin Elliott's is much more serious, and will sideline him for the season.

Kevin Elliott suffered a torn ACL in Friday night's 20-16 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Buffalo Bills announced that Elliott would miss the remainder of the 2013 season while making the announcement regarding the EJ Manuel knee injury on Saturday.

Elliott's training camp has been marred by injury. He missed a significant portion of camp and the first preseason game with a shoulder injury suffered while diving for a ball in practice. After his return on August 12, he played seven snaps of special teams against Minnesota and injured his knee on kickoff coverage.

He entered the league in 2012 as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars and played 13 games. He signed with the Bills in December after being released, and was placed on the practice squad. His propensity for dropping passes left him on the outside looking in with the Jags.

Elliott will find himself as the second member of the Bills on injured reserve this season, following tight end Mike Caussin, who was waived/injured this week and ultimately cleared waivers.
