Preseason ends abruptly for EJ Manuel -
"EJ Manuel had some swelling in his left knee this morning and was examined by our medical staff," Marrone said. "An MRI revealed that he will need to have a minor knee procedure and that has been scheduled. He will miss the remainder of the preseason and then be re-evaluated at that time."

QB Manuel to have surgery, miss rest of Bills’ preseason games - The Buffalo News
"The Bills’ media relations department transcribed 16 questions that Manuel was asked after the game. None of them – or any of his answers – hinted at any injury. He did not walk with a noticeable limp after the game. Marrone also did not make any mention of an injury in his postgame press conference."

Undrafted QB Jeff Tuel's value soars with EJ Manuel's injury - The Buffalo News
"Now the Bills must make sure Tuel, their only other arm, is as prepared as possible. Kolb has proven to be injury prone. One unfortunate misstep, awkward pivot or vicious hit could put Tuel in line to start on opening day."

Impact of the Manuel Injury | Rochester Democrat and Chronicle
"Nobody wants to hear that, but I think Kolb will start coming around now that his knee has healed and he’s back in the practice groove. He shouldn’t be judged solely on what happened Friday. He’s a seven-year veteran who’s been around the block in the NFL, and there are certainly worst options than Kolb as the opening day starter."

Buffalo Bills defense: Trick or treat? - ESPN
"This part is true: the Bills defense kept the Vikings on their heels, especially early in the game. Never did Christian Ponder or Matt Cassel look comfortable under center. But before anyone gets carried away with the success of defensive coordinator Mike Pettine's pressure schemes, let's remember one thing: Ponder and Cassel were two of the NFL's worst quarterbacks last season."
