You won't be able to see new Buffalo Bills quarterbacks Matt Leinart or Thaddeus Lewis this Thursday night if you live in Western New York and don't already have tickets for the preseason finale. The Bills announced today that Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions did not sell out, and will be blacked out locally. Buffalo's other home preseason game last Saturday was also blacked out.
Thursday night's game will re-air nationally on NFL Network on Saturday morning, and locally Friday night.
Speaking of not selling out, the Bills have been pushing sales for home game number two against the Carolina Panthers hard. It was advertised heavily during the third preseason game and promoted on local websites and via social media. We noted the schedule set up well to avoid many blackouts this season, but that observation doesn't appear to be accurate thus far.
If you'd like to catch the game against Detroit, you can listen on WGR550.com to keep yourself up to speed as the regular season looms.
