Bills vs. Lions preseason 2013: game time, TV schedule, online streaming and more

Here's every (legal) way we know of catching today's preseason game between the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions.

Tim Fuller-US PRESSWIRE

It feels a little bit like the Buffalo Bills haven't played a football game in about a month, given everything that has gone on with the team in the five days since their preseason loss to Washington last Saturday. They're back on the gridiron tonight to close out the exhibition season at home against the Detroit Lions, and here's everything you need to know about when and where to catch the game if you're so inclined.

Live on TV

For the second time this preseason, a Bills home preseason game will be blacked out on local television because it didn't sell out. That means that Western New York and surrounding regions won't be able to catch the game live. As usual, it will be rebroadcast locally; you can catch it on WKBW (Channel 7, Buffalo), WHAM (Channel 13, Rochester) and TWCS (Channel 26 for Time Warner customers) at 8PM ET on Friday.

The game kicks off at 7:00PM ET tonight. If and when you do catch the broadcast, Ray Bentley will be on play-by-play, Steve Tasker will provide color commentary, and Mike Catalana will be reporting from the sideline.

Online streaming

For $14.99, NFL Preseason Live gives you access not just to this preseason game, but the other 64 that have already been played or will be played the remainder of the exhibition season. Blackout rules still apply to this service, but if you're already an owner, you'll be able to watch it tomorrow.

Radio schedule

Buffalo: WGR (550 AM)
Rochester: WROC (950 AM) and WCMF (96.5 FM)
Syracuse: WTKW (99.5 FM)

Calling the game on the Bills Radio Network: John Murphy on play-by-play, Mark Kelso on color commentary and Joe Buscaglia from the sidelines. Check the list of Bills Radio Network affiliates for more complete listings in surrounding areas.

Replay on NFL Network

Even with roster cuts occurring this weekend, this Bills/Lions game will re-air on NFL Network prior to the Bills' cuts, in all likelihood. You can catch the re-air bright and early at 7AM ET on Saturday, August 31 - 11 hours before the NFL's cut-down deadline at 6PM.

There are, of course, other more nefarious ways to catch the game. We'd like to remind you, again, that those means are not to be shared anywhere on the pages of Buffalo Rumblings.
