Nigel Bradham marijuana possession court date: September 11

Nigel Bradham is scheduled to appear in Town of Tonawanda Court on the afternoon of September 11 to enter a plea on charges of marijuana possession and illegally tinted windows, according to The Buffalo News. The paper also reports that Bradham has hired attorney Michael P. Caffery to defend him; it's the same lawyer that represented Marshawn Lynch when he was accused of a hit and run in 2008.

Bradham was pulled over early in the morning of August 17, just hours after the team's preseason win over Minnesota, for questioning about the tinted windows. That's when the officer smelled marijuana, then confiscated less than an ounce of it before Bradham admitted what it was.

Bills GM Doug Whaley told reporters on August 20 that the NFL was reviewing the incident, but it's not yet clear if that review is complete, or if it's dependent on the outcome of the court case. Per the terms of the CBA, Bradham could be subjected to a suspension for the incident. Whaley also said that once the NFL's review was complete, further action on the matter would be handled in-house.

In the Bills' preseason finale against Detroit on Thursday night, Bradham was the only full-time starter that saw significant playing time.
