Bills training camp practice: Day 7 open thread

All eyes will be on the quarterback position heading into Sunday's practice, with Kevin Kolb 24 hours removed from a knee injury and EJ Manuel poised to take his reps.

With rookie EJ Manuel the talk of the town in Western New York after a strong start to his first NFL training camp, all eyes will be on Kevin Kolb on Sunday as the Buffalo Bills' seventh training camp practice gets underway. (The practice starts at 2PM; here's the full camp schedule.)

Kolb injured his left knee on Saturday in a freak accident, slipping on a rubber mat while walking between practice fields early in the session. It was all prototypical of something that would happen to the Bills, up until the point that head coach Doug Marrone told reporters that the injury was not considered serious, and that Kolb is day to day.

Day by day, however, Manuel has inched out in front of the veteran in the race for the Bills' starting quarterback job - even as he hasn't been perfect, and even while the proverbial playing field hasn't been level. Manuel's level of play has remained the same as defenses thrown at him have become more complex, and the longer that continues, the worse Kolb's chances are of starting - especially if he misses practice time.

This is your open thread for today's practice. We'll update this post with breaking news from observers at camp, and the comments section is yours, as always, to discuss or question pretty much anything you like.
