Patriots vs. Jets NFL Week 2 2013 live chat

There's pro football on TV tonight. Let's watch it and talk about it.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Week 2 of the 2013 NFL regular season begins tonight when the New England Patriots host the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.

This game should be of interest to Buffalo Bills fans - not just because the Patriots and Jets are division rivals, but because the Bills play the Jets next weekend. It's a prime opportunity for Bills fans to turn on NFL Network this evening to take a peek at the Jets' new-look offense, helmed by offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and (especially) rookie quarterback Geno Smith.

The Bills won't play the Patriots again until Week 17 - December 29, in fact - but tonight still provides morbidly curious Bills fans the opportunity to see New England's offense without Danny Amendola and Shane Vereen, who were responsible for 263 of New England's 431 yards from scrimmage against Buffalo last Sunday. Perhaps you're curious to see what an already-depleted Pats offense looks like without 61 percent of its yardage production from a week ago; then again, maybe your sanity requires blissful ignorance on that front.

This is your open thread for the Pats/Jets game if you're tuning in. Enjoy!
