The Buffalo Bills are down to the Carolina Panthers going into the half but they get the ball back to open the third quarter.

Dan Carpenter made up for a shorter miss by nailing a 55-yard field goal for the only points of the first half seemingly dominated by the Buffalo Bills but the Carolina Panthers lead 7-3 on a late touchdown pass from Cam Newton to Greg Olsen. Mario Williams has three sacks in the first half and Newton has been pressured all day.

EJ Manuel is 10-for-15 with 102 yards while C.J. Spiller has eclipsed his rushing total from last week with 49 rushing yards and had a long one called back on a Lee Smith holding penalty. The Panthers had two nice drives to bookend the first half. Kiko Alonso picked off Newton to end the first threat but Buffalo wasn't as lucky on the Panthers' second long drive. Buffalo made it through the first quarter without a penalty but was nailed with four for 25 yards in the second quarter.

The Bills will be honoring their Wall of Fame members at halftime. Chat up that ceremony and the second half right here.
