For a third consecutive week, Jaus Byrd is on the inactive list for the Buffalo Bills.
Byrd, who was listed as questionable for today's game against the New York Jets after two weeks with a doubtful designation, evidently has not progressed enough to be counted on in Mike Pettine's defense. That means we'll see Aaron Williams, Da'Norris Searcy and Jim Leonhard take the lion's share of safety reps once again.
Doug Legursky, who was also listed as questionable this week after returning to the practice field following a preseason knee injury, is also out. Sam Young and Thomas Welch will once again serve as the Bills' reserve offensive linemen. Marquise Goodwin, Stephon Gilmore, Ron Brooks and Dustin Hopkins had already been ruled out prior to today, and rookie tight end Chris Gragg is a healthy scratch for a third straight week.
We'll pop the Jets' inactives into the chart below when we see the names.
