Jairus Byrd will not suit up today against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. That's bad news from the Buffalo Bills inactive list with top cornerback Stephon Gilmore out of action as well with a wrist/hand injury. Lineman Doug Legursky (knee) and kicker Dustin Hopkins (groin) had already been ruled out along with Gilmore.
Elsewhere on the inactive list, defensive linemen Jay Ross and Corbin Bryant and tight end Chris Gragg won't suit up. Ross played in one game a year ago while Bryant played in one game for Pittsburgh in 2011. Gragg won't suit up for his NFL debut after being selected in the 7th round by Buffalo. Nickell Robey and Chris Hogan will make their NFL debuts along with the rest of the Bills draft class.
For the Patriots, Rob Gronkowski has been ruled out and will be joined by receiver Aaron Dobson, running back Brandon Bolden, lineman Will Svitek and safeties Nate Ebner and Duron Harmon. Gronkowski has been a noted Bills killer with 30 catches and nine touchdowns in six games against his hometown team. Bolden ran for 137 yards and a touchdown in Buffalo a year ago.
