It's the first Monday Night Football session of the 2013 NFL regular season, and as is the league's custom, there are two matchups to take in this evening. This is your open thread for tonight's games between (first) the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles, and (second) the San Diego Chargers and the Houston Texans.
The games offer intriguing story lines: there are new coaches in Philadelphia (Chip Kelly) and San Diego (the decidedly less interesting Mike McCoy); Robert Griffin III makes his triumphant return following knee surgery; and the Texans are out to prove that they're Super Bowl caliber in what seems to be a constantly-weakening American Football Conference.
Oh, and good news! I only need DeSean Jackson to outscore Arian Foster by 47 points this evening to pull out a Week 1 win in the Buffalo Rumblings Fantasy Football league. Nice job on not not getting benched, Stevan Ridley and David Wilson. (Seriously, if there's another human being on this planet that used two of his/her first three picks on those two Week 1 duds, let's [expletive] commiserate.)
Enjoy the games, everyone! Also, just an FYI: we'll be recording the next Buffalo Rumblings Podcast tonight, which you should see either overnight or tomorrow morning.
