The Buffalo Bills on Friday announced that the team has re-signed veteran punter Brian Moorman. Reports indicate that it's a one-year deal, but the likely reasonable financial terms have not been revealed.
Bills GM Doug Whaley said at the team's year-end press conference that the team had planned on quickly reaching out to Moorman's agent, as well as the representation of kicker Dan Carpenter, in the hopes of re-signing both of their kicking specialists.
Moorman, who will turn 38 prior to the start of the 2014 season, was re-signed by the Bills last October following a calendar year away from the team for which he had turned in two All-Pro seasons. He brought some stability back to Buffalo's punting job following the rough start to the season that Shawn Powell endured.
Whether or not Moorman has any competition for the Bills' punting job next season remains to be seen - it's expected that he will - but for now, we can pencil in Moorman as Buffalo's punter for at least one more season.
