Super Bowl XLVIII takes place two weeks from today, and this year's participants will be decided in this afternoon's AFC and NFC championship games. Eight former Buffalo Bills players and coaches will have a shot at playing in the big game this year.
Denver Broncos (14-3) vs. New England Patriots (13-4)
- Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
- 3PM ET, CBS
- Mile High Report vs. Pats Pulpit
Two former Bills coaches - Eric Studesville (running backs) and Tyke Tolbert (wide receivers), who both coached under Dick Jauron - will be on the sidelines for the Broncos today. Meanwhile, two Patriots special teams players - linebacker Chris White and long snapper Danny Aiken - are former Bills, as well.
Seattle Seahawks (14-3) vs. San Francisco 49ers (14-4)
- CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA
- 6:30PM ET, FOX
- Field Gulls vs. Niners Nation
San Francisco has only one former Bill in tow, but he's a notable one - safety Donte Whitner has been a starter for one of the league's best defenses for the last three years. On Seattle's sideline, assistant offensive line coach Pat Ruel (with the Bills in 2003) and backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson are mostly afterthoughts behind one of the league's best and most popular running backs, Marshawn Lynch.
