AFC championship game 2014: Broncos vs. Patriots open thread

The Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game today, with a Super Bowl XLVIII berth on the line. Buffalo Bills fans chat about the events from Sports Authority Field at Mile High as they unfold.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

To the surprise of very few, teams helmed by Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are squaring off in today's AFC championship game, with the Denver Broncos hosting the New England Patriots in a game that kicks off at 3PM ET on CBS.

Perhaps you've grown tired of the endless narrative surrounding Manning, Brady and their rivalry. Admittedly, the endless media coverage of the two players can be tiring for even the most diehard of NFL fans. Our advice to you: don't let any of that cloud the fact that these two guys are the predominant names in a golden age of pro quarterbacking, and we are damn lucky to get to see them square off with a berth to Super Bowl XLVIII on the line. Have fun with this one. We won't see things like this very often.

This is your open thread for today's AFC championship game. Two former Buffalo Bills - whether it be Broncos assistant coaches Eric Studesville and Tyke Tolbert, or Patriots special teamers Chris White and Danny Aiken - will be moving on to the Super Bowl on February 2. Who are you rooting for today, Bills fans?
