NFC championship game 2014: Seahawks vs. 49ers open thread

The Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game today, with a Super Bowl XLVIII berth on the line. Buffalo Bills fans chat about the events from CenturyLink Field as they unfold.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are headed to Super Bowl XLVIII after a methodical 26-16 dismantling of the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. Now, the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will square off in the NFL's loudest stadium to determine Denver's competition in the big game.

Division rivals in the NFC West, the Seahawks and 49ers combined for a 25-7 record in 2013, and are mirror images of each other: young, athletic quarterbacks (Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick), power running games (headlined by Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore), and stingy defenses featuring some of the league's best players. They split their two matchups in the regular season, with the Seahawks winning handily at home, 29-3, and the 49ers kicking a last-minute field goal to set up the rubber match, 19-17, back on December 8.

This is your open thread for the NFC championship game. Once again, a former Buffalo Bills player or coach will be heading to the big dance - whether it be 49ers safety Donte Whitner, or the aforementioned Lynch (along with Tarvaris Jackson and assistant line coach Pat Ruel) in Seattle. Which team would you like to see against Manning and the Broncos in two weeks?
