With seven starters listed as questionable on Friday, it appeared the Buffalo Bills were possibly going to be severely undermanned today against the New England Patriots and while we don't know their full health, we now know who is going to be active and who is out.
Inactives:
- RB Bryce Brown (healthy scratch)
- CB Ross Cockrell (healthy scratch)
- WR Marcus Easley (knee)
- LB Randell Johnson (healthy scratch)
- OT Cyrus Kouandjio (healthy scratch)
- S Aaron Williams (wrist)
- WR Mike Williams (healthy scratch)
The biggest news is with Mike Williams, who is a healthy scratch for the first time this season. he was the team's clear number three receiver prior to last week but has clearly fallen out of favor while Chris Hogan slides into a bigger role. It also helps that Hogan plays special teams. Aaron Williams has been battling an injury.
Easley was declared out on Friday so we knew he wasn't going to play. Chris Williams was the other player declared out on Friday but he was placed on injured reserve Saturday. Ron Brooks is apparently recovered enough from his scary neck injury last week to continue in Easley's place on special teams and newly-signed Kenny Ladler will also have a role on special teams.
Brown and Kouandjio have been healthy scratches for all six games this season, and Cockrell has been scratched for five straight.
