All 13 of the New England Patriots points have come off of Buffalo Bills turnovers. The Bills have one scoring drive and must kick the ball away to start the second half trailing 13-7.
Kyle Orton's first turnover was an ill-advised pass over the middle that was intercepted. Tom Brady's club marched them down the field and a boneheaded Duke Williams penalty set them up at first and goal at the one. Brady found tight end Tim Wright for the easy score on the next play. In the second quarter, Cordy Glenn got beat clean by Chandler Jones for a strip but the Patriots couldn't move the ball and settled for a field goal. At the end of the half, C.J. Spiller fumbled inside 10 seconds remaining and Stephen Gostkowski nailed the field goal as time expired.
In between the first two Patriots scores, Scott Chandler managed several key third down conversions as the Bills led by Orton marched down the field. Robert Woods caught a 7-yard pass for the Bills touchdown.
The Bills defense has turned it on in the second quarter, pressuring Brady and sacking him twice. They haven't allowed the Patriots run game to get going and held Brady in check but the turnovers are not helping their casue.
