Last week, the Buffalo Bills made a big splash when they sat down Mike Williams in favor of keeping a third tight end (and kickoff specialist) on the gameday roster. This week, there was no such dilemna with Marquise Goodwin sidelined with a hamstring injury. Here are the rest of the inactives:
- RB Bryce Brown (healthy scratch)
- CB Ross Cockrell (healthy scratch)
- WR Marcus Easley (knee)
- WR Marquise Goodwin (hamstring)
- OT Cyrus Kouandjio (healthy scratch)
- S Kenny Ladler (healthy scratch)
- LB Ty Powell (ankle)
Easley, Goodwin, and Powell were all declared out on Friday. Easley has been out since midway through week 3 with an MCL sprain but could be back in the mix soon. Goodwin and Powell were both injured this past week.
Brown and Kouandjio have been healthy scratches for all seven games this season while Cockrell has been scratched for six straight as the cornerbacks have remained healthy. Ladler was signed a week ago as special teams insurance with several of those players bumped and bruised but they opted for seventh rounder Randell Johnson over the UDFA Ladler.
Folks wishing for Bryce Brown to come in and steal snaps at running back are kidding themselves. He is injury insurance and nothing more, it would seem.
