The Pro Football Hall of Fame will be selecting their 2014 enshrinement class today in the New York City area in the final run-up to Super Bowl XLVIII. Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News will be presenting former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Reed for the eighth time. Beginning at 7:00 PM tonight, we'll be discussing the Hall of Fame class live.
Reed is the most prolific receiver in Buffalo Bills history. Teammates James Lofton, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, and Bruce Smith are already in the Hall of Fame, as is coach Marv Levy and team owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. All-time Bills greats O.J. Simpson, Joe DeLamielleure, and Billy Shaw also have a home in Canton.
Tonight, we'll go over Reed's Hall of Fame credentials, look at the rest of the finalists (by 7PM they will be whittled down to the final 10), and hopefully discuss Reed's induction live as it is announced. If Reed is snubbed by the committee again, we will throw vitriol in their general direction. But you have to participate to throw praise or anger. You can leave comments or questions in this post, use the Q&A feature embedded in the Hangout on air, or tweet me @MattRichWarren and the best will be read on air. Talk to you then!
