Bills free agent target Kenny Britt signs with Rams

The Bills have pursued two free agent wide receivers this offseason, and they may not land either of them. Kenny Britt is already off the market.

As the Buffalo Bills continue to be linked to free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson, another pass-catcher they've courted is officially off the market: Kenny Britt signed a one-year deal with the St. Louis Rams on Monday evening. Britt will make $1.4 million in base salary, but could earn up to $2.9 million if he hits all contract incentives.

Jackson, meanwhile, spent Monday afternoon on a free agent visit with the Washington Redskins, and may not get out of town before signing a deal there. The Bills and the Oakland Raiders are the two teams that are most frequently mentioned as Jackson suitors, aside from the Redskins.

Britt and Jackson are the only two receivers that the team has reportedly pursued this offseason. If they are not able to land either, it will add fuel to the fire that the team will consider one with an early-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft - perhaps even as early as No. 9 overall.
