With the No. 73 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected Louisville linebacker Preston Brown.
Brown was a three-year starter for the Cardinals at inside linebacker, finishing his four-year playing career with 301 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and an interception. The 6'1", 251-pound Brown is a two-down thumper inside, and profiles as a backup linebacker, special teams addition (one would hope, at least) and a potential 2015 replacement for current starting middle linebacker Brandon Spikes, who signed a one-year free agent deal in March.
The Bills have also now drafted three players that made pre-draft visits to One Bills Drive this spring, emphatically continuing a trend four years in the making.
Barring a trade back up into the end of the third round, the Bills are done for the day with no remaining scheduled picks. What do you think of their Day 2 work?
