Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins: second half chat

The Buffalo Bills defense in manhandling the Miami Dolphins offense.

It was a first half of missed opportunities. Despite a swarming defense and ample opportunities, the Buffalo Bills offense has only managed to score three field goals and lead the Miami Dolphins, 9-0. They even punted inside Miami's 40-yard-line near the end of the half.

The defense is the story of the game. Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, and Jerry Hughes all have sacks and the defense has allowed just 62 yards for the Dolphins, and only 33 of them were prior to the final drive of the half. The Bills' defensive line has been living in the Miami backfield, wreaking havoc and knocking starting running back Knowshon Moreno from the game early on.

It's also impossible to not mention the Boobie Dixon punt block that set up one of Buffalo's possessions deep in Miami territory. They brought him in for his special teams prowess and it's already paying off.

On offense, Sammy Watkins has been a big play machine but EJ Manuel has missed him on two throws that could have been touchdowns, as well. That's the story for the Bills as they've settled for field goals and the passing offense has moved the ball but the running game hasn't caught on yet.
