Tyrod Taylor injury: EJ Manuel to start for Buffalo Bills, per report

The Buffalo Bills will have a new starting quarterback on Sunday according to an ESPN report.

Tyrod Taylor's sprained MCL will keep him out of the AFC showdown Sunday when the Buffalo Bills host the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. That according to a report from Bob Holtzman.

Taylor was injured picking up a first down with his legs against the Tennessee Titans when his leg was caught underneath his body while his jersey was pulled from behind. Holtzman says Taylor tried convincing the Bills staff he would be okay but the mobile quarterback would have trouble moving laterally with that type of injury.

Manuel steps back into the starting lineup for the 15th time and the first since being benched for Kyle Orton in 2014. He began this season as the third-string quarterback but Buffalo traded away Matt Cassel a few weeks ago. The only other quarterback in the Bills roster is Josh Johnson who was signed just this week. It's unclear if Taylor will dress in an emergency capacity.
