NFL Week 11 early games open thread: Jets vs. Texans the headliner

New, comments

The Bills aren't playing for a second Sunday in a row, but that doesn't mean they can't benefit in the standings if a few things fall their way.

For a second consecutive Sunday, the Buffalo Bills are not playing, and we're left to scrounge the rest of the NFL's game schedule for something worth watching. This is your open thread to discuss any of the early (1:00 p.m. ET) games that you may be watching.

If you're in Western New York, you'll be treated to two games: the 5-4 New York Jets travel to take on the 4-5 Houston Texans on the only CBS game of the day, and on FOX, you'll see the 4-5 Washington Redskins try to upset the 9-0 Carolina Panthers on the road. For reasons that we outlined earlier this week, you'll want to root for Houston and Washington in those contests, as wins by both would help the Bills' playoff chances.

Here's all of the action taking place in the 1:00 p.m. slot (and, for the record, the teams in bold are those you should be rooting for, as explained in that earlier link):

  • Jets (5-4) at Texans (4-5)
  • Redskins (4-5) at Panthers (9-0)
  • Raiders (4-5) at Lions (2-7)
  • Broncos (7-2) at Bears (4-5)
  • Cowboys (2-7) at Dolphins (4-5)
  • Colts (4-5) at Falcons (6-3)
  • Buccaneers (4-5) at Eagles (4-5)
  • Rams (4-5) at Ravens (2-7)

Enjoy the early games, Bills fans!
