NFL Week 11 late games open thread: Chiefs vs. Chargers the headliner

If you're into intriguing NFC matchups, the 4:00 p.m. time slot has you covered - but there's also an AFC West showdown that could have major playoff implications on the docket, as well.

There are only three games on tap in the NFL in this late-afternoon time slot, and only one of them has playoff implications for the Buffalo Bills. It's not the one you'll be watching if you're a Western New York cable subscriber, either.

The game you'll want to pay attention to in the AFC playoff race takes place in San Diego, where the 2-7 Chargers, fresh off of their bye week, will try to slow the roll of the 4-5 Kansas City Chiefs, who are coming off of a pretty impressive win over Denver on the road last weekend. The 5-4 Bills will travel to take on Kansas City next weekend in what is shaping up to be a pretty important matchup in the conference, and Bills fans should obviously be rooting for Kansas City to fall in the standings today.

If you're a Western New York native without a subscription to an all-inclusive games package, however, you'll be treated to an interesting NFC matchup that will have little to no impact on the Bills' playoff chances: the NFC North lead is up for grabs with 6-3 Green Bay visiting 7-2 Minnesota. Perhaps a low-stress, high-quality matchup is precisely what you're looking for.

All three of your afternoon matchups:

  • Chiefs (4-5) at Chargers (2-7)
  • Packers (6-3) at Vikings (7-2)
  • 49ers (3-6) at Seahawks (4-5)

Which game will you be watching, Bills fans?
