It has been an interesting morning to be a Buffalo Bills fan.
Bills general manager Doug Whaley, in particular, has had a rough one, with reports surfacing that he's butting heads with the coaching staff (chiefly over the use of Sammy Watkins), wants Greg Roman and other assistants replaced, and that team owner Terry Pegula is taking counsel from people outside the organization on what to do regarding front office and player personnel this offseason.
Then there's the report that star defensive lineman Mario Williams, unhappy with his role in Rex Ryan's defense, may be done with the Bills, who could save $12.9 million against the cap by cutting the 31-year-old this spring.
Lost in all of that is the fact that the Bills have a game to play against the Washington Redskins today, and despite the downbeat morale of the fan base and the excessively long odds, the Bills are still mathematically alive in the AFC playoff race.
We have threads up to talk about the rest of the craziness if that's your jam; if you're focused on the Bills-Redskins game, however, this is the thread for you. Go Bills!
