The 2015 NFL Draft is going to begin in about 30 minutes! Are you excited, Buffalo Bills fans?
2015 NFL Draft - Round 1
- Thursday, April 30, 8:00 p.m. ET
- ESPN, NFL Network
- SiriusXM NFL Radio, ESPN Radio
- NFL Mobile, NFL.com/Watch, WatchESPN.com
- Bills picks: check back tomorrow!
If you're not excited, it's probably because the Bills don't have a pick to make tonight (barring a very unlikely trade up into the first round; don't hold your breath). We know, it's kind of a bummer. Which is why, if you're looking for something more exciting to watch this evening, we recommend this BuffaloBills.com highlight video starring Sammy Watkins, the player the Bills acquired last spring with that aforementioned first-round pick.
Or, alternately, you can toss the draft on in the background and catch up on the very latest regarding the Bills and the draft at any of the links below:
- Big board: Dan Lavoie wrote 75 scouting reports this year. Many of them are potential Bills targets to keep in mind for tomorrow evening's two picks. Bone up.
- Draft preview videos: Dan also collaborated with Matt Warren to make a series of videos previewing the Bills' potential picks at, well, every position on the football field, basically. Watch them. They're good.
- The name to watch: Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty is the player with the strongest connections to the Bills entering draft weekend. Will he be available in Round 2 tomorrow night, or will some other team snag him in Round 1 this evening? Should the Bills even take him? Are the Bills setting up an elaborate smokescreen? This is rich, compelling stuff.
- Bills draft needs: Don't pay attention to what the national pundits say the Bills need. This is the only needs list you'll need to read*.
- Bills depth chart: In case you find yourself in need of a comprehensive look at the Bills' roster before they start making picks this weekend.
There is a silver lining to the Bills not having a first-round pick this year, at least for your humble narrator. Avengers: Age of Ultron is opening in theaters this evening, and since the Bills don't have a pick, I'm going to go get my Marvel on** for a few hours while the rest of the NFL goes to work. If anything does happen - we're dealing with trade machine Doug Whaley here, after all - Matt Warren will have you covered. He (and I, until the movie) will also be updating the chart you see below with all of the first-round action as the picks are announced live (or as close as we can manage).
Enjoy the draft tonight, everyone!
