Bills vs. Browns, NFL preseason Week 2: second half live chat

Tyrod Taylor enjoyed a solid first half of play, but as we speculate about whether or not it'll be enough to pass Matt Cassel permanently, EJ Manuel has a whole half of preseason football to prove himself, as well. Talk about it here.

Playing alongside the Buffalo Bills' deep reserve running backs and wide receivers with the rest of the first-team offense, quarterback Tyrod Taylor made his case to be the Bills' starting quarterback in 2015.

Taylor led the Bills to a 3-3 halftime tie with the Browns, completing 7-of-10 passes for 65 yards and adding 41 rushing yards on four carries to pace a Buffalo offense that was without its top five running backs and, for a series, their top six wide receivers. He led the team to one field goal (and had them in position for a second, but Dan Carpenter missed it), and only had one glaring poor play amidst a solid evening.

Meanwhile, the Bills' first-team defense was up to its usual tricks, sacking Browns starter Josh McCown three times and picking him off twice, with rookie Ronald Darby hauling in both of those miscues.

EJ Manuel will now have an extended audition with the Bills' reserve offensive line and tight end group, as Matt Cassel will reportedly have the evening off as Buffalo's coaches evaluate their young quarterbacks. This is where you can talk about the second half of the Bills' preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. Go Bills!
