John Wawrow of The Associated Press, citing a conversation with head coach Rex Ryan, is reporting that Buffalo Bills running back Boobie Dixon could miss up to a month of time with a calf injury.
Dixon was injured during the Bills' fourth training camp practice of the year, on Monday evening. He left the field of play and did not return, but the nature and status of the injury had not been disclosed yet, as Ryan did not address reporters after practice on Monday evening.

One of Buffalo's best and most important special teams players, Dixon's loss could be a major blow to that unit if his injury situation drags into the regular season. (The Bills' first game of the year, a home date with the Indianapolis Colts, takes place on September 14, just a tad over five weeks from now). In the meantime, his absence will be more directly felt at running back, where only Bryce Brown and rookie Karlos Williams are left to split reps behind veterans LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson.
