The 2015 NFL regular season was all about streaks for the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs.

After these two teams squared off in Week 1 (Kansas City beat Houston, 27-20, in Houston), the Chiefs promptly went on a five-game losing streak to start the season 1-5. They also lost their star tailback, Jamaal Charles, during that stretch. Andy Reid's crew rallied far more than admirably, however, winning their final 10 games of the season to finish 11-5 and just a hair shy of winning their division. They enter the AFC playoff field as the No. 5 seed.
Houston, meanwhile, won just one of their first five games, rallying to make the playoffs despite a 1-4 start of their own. Two different winning streaks helped their cause: a four-game stretch to improve from 2-5 to 6-5, and then after two losses, they won their final three games to improve from 6-7 to 9-7. In all, the Texans won eight of their last 11 games to sneak past injury-depleted Indianapolis for an AFC South championship. As the AFC division winner with the worst record, they are the No. 4 seed this year.
Today, the Texans host the Chiefs in a rematch of Week 1. The victor will move on to the divisional round, where they'll meet either the Denver Broncos or the New England Patriots next weekend.
