At halftime, the Buffalo Bills lead the San Francisco 49ers 17-13 at New Era Field in Orchard Park.
Both teams have been running wild - the 49ers thanks to some misdirection plays with their dual threat quarterback, and the Bills because their run blocking so effectively outclasses San Francisco’s defense. LeSean McCoy already has two touchdowns and over 100 yards rushing, and it’s the first time in his career that he’s gone over a hundred in the first half of two consecutive games. The 49ers have seen big plays out of Torrey Smith, who caught a 53 yard touchdown on a busted coverage, and Colin Kaepernick, who has 135 yards passing and 20 rushing yards.
McCoy went down during the two minute drill to end the half on an apparent knee injury, but his Gumby superpowers may have worked in his favor; McCoy was seen jogging and cutting on the sidelines as the Bills went into halftime. Robert Woods also left the game during the two minute drill after taking a hard hit, and his status is up in the air.
The Bills will get the ball to start the second half. Let’s see them grow a lead, and let’s hope to avoid more injuries. Go Bills!
