Is LeSean McCoy healthier than we originally thought?

In the latest installment of The Saga of Shady’s Hammy, we have video evidence that suggests he may not be as injured as Josina Anderson let on last night.

Sal Capaccio of WGR 550, tweeted this video during practice today:

A few minutes later, the Bills’ official account tweeted a similar video:

The propaganda czars at 1 Bills Drive are hard at work here, letting us know that McCoy is at least healthy enough to catch, run, and cut in practice today. While we obviously can’t see video of the team portion of practice, it’s encouraging to see McCoy participating in some individual drills. Undoubtedly, this was done to show that he is better off than Josina Anderson’s report suggested last night.

Even with Anderson’s claim that McCoy could miss up to a month, Josh Reed of WIVB-TV in Buffalo quickly quelled that notion, stating that the team was still hopeful to have McCoy against Miami on Sunday afternoon. McCoy’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also stated that his client is a game-time decision on Sunday.

Will he play or won’t he? Well, if practice participation is any indication, McCoy seems to be closer to a game-time decision than a general “out” for Sunday. Even if he plays, it is reasonable to expect a larger dose of Mike Gillislee against a Dolphin defense ranked 31st in stopping the run this season.

Stay tuned for more updates.
