Bills players fined for pregame scuffle with Patriots

Blanton, Robey-Coleman, and A. Williams fined

John Wawrow has reported that three Bills defensive backs have been fined for the fracas scuffle skirmish dustup kerfuffle altercation woofing fight that happened during warmups before Buffalo’s game against the New England Patriots this past weekend.

If you somehow missed the news about that incident here is what happened:

  • Patriots starting QB Jacobby Brissett and WR Malcolm Mitchell jogged through the Bills defensive back drills
  • Patriots starting QB Jacobby Brissett and WR Malcolm Mitchell jogged through the Bills defensive back drills, again.
  • Robert Blanton took umbrage with this and shoved Brissett. Mitchell didn’t like this and shoved Blanton. They traded blows.
  • Some assistants from both teams, Nickell Robey-Coleman, and Aaron Williams joined in on the fun as well.

If you’d like to watch the postering for yourself, here you go. Blanton got the higher amount likely because he started the whole thing and got the most shoves in. I would not be surprised to see Aaron Williams get a similar amount as he repeatedly shove a Patriots assistant coach. We’ll find out Williams’ fine amount as well as those for any Patriots tomorrow when the league releases that information as they do every Friday.
