Well, so much for that rejoicing we mentioned yesterday. Per Adam Schefter, Marcell Dareus suffered a hamstring injury in practice that will likely cause him to miss today’s game at Los Angeles.
We knew about the hamstring injury, but based on the reports coming out, the team seemed to project confidence about Sammy Reggie Shaq Marcell playing, making it seem as if it were not a serious injury. While it may not be serious, it looks like it will keep him out for this week.
Of course, this could also be an elaborate leak meant to cause the Rams to let down their guard. Murphy’s Law also could be fake, because whenever I write positive things, it never turns out that the exact opposite happens. Never.
Dareus was due to return this week from a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. His name was added to the injury report on Friday.
With or without a healthy Dareus, the Bills will take on the Rams at 4:25 this afternoon, looking to make it three in a row for only the eighth time since the playoff drought began.
