Bills-Bengals Inactives: Marcell Dareus will play

The star defensive tackle will make his second appearance on the field in 2016.

The Buffalo Bills inactive list for today’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals is here:

The important note form this list is that it does not include defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, who will be appearing in his second game this season after a variety of issues caused him to miss eight of the Bills’ first nine games (as well as a good portion of the one game he did play in). Corbin Bryant had already been ruled out with a shoulder injury, so assuming his body is up to it Dareus should see significant playing time today.

Kouandjio is an interesting name on the list. He was presumably in the running for the “right tackle by committee” rotation, but he has struggled at the position in the past. Seantrel Henderson, starter of 26 games at the position over the two previous seasons, will make his 2016 debut this week in tandem with Jordan Mills.

Brandon Spikes is also an interesting name on the list, although he hasn’t been much of an impact player this year. Both safeties the Bills have signed over the last two weeks, Sergio Brown and James Ihedigbo, will be active today. That should tell you something about the team’s defensive plans against the pass-happy Bengals offense.

Here’s a look at the Bengals’ inactives for today:

The big name on that list is middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, who will miss his second game with a fibula injury. The Giants were able to rack up 122 yards on the ground on Monday night without his presence, so the Bills’ rushing attack might stand to produce even more than that.
